Visitor’s Visa
Not every visitor requires a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) or Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA). The TRV is an official document to show that the visitor has met the requirement for entering Canada as a temporary resident. A visitor may be required to obtain a visa if it is compulsory to obtain a visa from the visitor’s country of origin.
In order to successfully obtain a visit visa to Canada, the applicant must satisfy the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. Furthermore, the officer must be satisfied that the visitor will stay in Canada only for a temporary period, the applicant will not stay after the expiration of the visit visa, sufficient fund, and other factors, and other various factors. The office has the authority to request additional documents from the applicant to establish the admissibility before making a final decision concerning the visa application.
